Audio connection |
Version V1.62 |
Audio content will be captured and mixed from/to HDMI, network streams, video recordings and HDBaseT (when equipped).
Connect Audio Line In and Line Out when using audio equipment with separate lines, like microphone equipment and audio amplifiers.
Connect Line IN to the output of audio source, for example, microphone equipment and connect Line OUT to the input of audio equipment, for example, active loudspeakers, etc.
The audio signals can be mixed to all outputs Cynap, including recording and streaming.
The audio level can be controlled using the volume keys on the remote control. The keys are affecting all audio ports of Cynap.
Line In: max. 1VRMS @ 10kOhm (stereo, unbalanced)
Line Out: max. 1VRMS @ 10kOhm (stereo, unbalanced; max. transmission rate 1:1)
mini jack socket 3.5mm, stereo, for input and output
Hint:
Some microphone systems require a pre-amplifier to meet line-level.
If you encounter hum noise caused by ground loops, check installation and be sure the full equipment is grounded to the same earth-level.
Connect a ground/earth wire to the case of Cynap at the dedicated screw on the connector panel.
When it cannot be solved, add ground-loop isolators to both audio lines (Line In and Line Out).
Transmission range: 20Hz~20kHz at +/-3dB / 300Hz~10kHz at +/-1dB
Transmission ratio: 1:1
Please note
Audio inputs (Line In and USB microphone) are disabled by default to prevent loops and can be enabled in the settings of Cynap (Settings / Audio).
The microphone symbol in the top status bar changes to red when audio content is expected but not provided.
To prevent echo loops, enable Echo Cancellation and may adjust the delay. Echo Cancellation will take effect for Line In and the defined USB microphone in the Audio settings.
Cynap supports 2 channel audio (front left, front right) over HDMI.
To use a USB microphone, simply connect the UVC audio (USB UAC) compatible device to one of the USB ports of Cynap. With default settings, it is active for conferencing only.
Some USB UVC cameras have a microphone built-in and to use the audio content just together with this UVC camera, enable its audio in the Input settings.
To use UVC audio as general audio source, enable it in the Audio settings and pre-select the preferred device when multiple UVC audio devices are connected simultaneously.
To use a USB speaker, simply connect the UVC audio (USB UAC) compatible device to one of the USB ports of Cynap and enable audio in the audio settings.
Some USB audio devices provide microphone and speaker functionality in a single device. Some units are equipped with integrated echo cancellation which is preferred for conferencing purposes.
