Digital and Firmware Development Engineer
Based in the west of Austria WolfVision develop their own high end cameras and image processing platforms with a small but competent electronics team.
Responsibilities of this highly technical Hardware and Firmware Design position include driving projects from a concept phase and into series production, including design, development, implementation, testing and support, as well as the maintenance of existing products.
Design and development of image processing system hardware
Implementation of image processing algorithms using programmable logic
Programming embedded software
Maintenance of firmware and hardware for existing product base
The successful candidate will have completed an education in a discipline related to electronics from a recognized institute as well as having multiple years of relevant work experience. Skills of interest include good general hardware skills, PCB development, programing microcontrollers with embedded C, FPGA design using both Verilog and VHDL. Knowledge of networking protocols and technology would be an additional bonus, as would skills in embedded Linux development. On a personal note, the candidate should display creativity in problem solving whilst also demonstrating a clear and structured approach to any solutions. She or he should have the ability to work autonomously and as a team player, while also being able to interact with external partners, customers and vendors in a diplomatic and efficient manner. Basic German knowledge is necessary, however a German course will be provided where required. The ability to communicate in English is seen as a big advantage.

Mechanics Department Vacancy
Mechatronics and CAD Engineer
Based in the west of Austria WolfVision develop their own high end cameras, optics, mechatronic, and image processing platforms with a small but competent development team.
Responsibilities for the Mechatronics Design Engineer position are the mechanical construction of devices, casings, packaging and overseeing the manufacturing process. Mostly used manufacturing techniques are die-casting, injection-molding and sheet-metal forming.
Complete lifecycle design and implementation of mechanical concepts
Analyze and select the appropriate production techniques
Design according to guidelines and constraints set by manufacturing techniques
Design and construction of moving parts such as motorized subassemblies (bearing, guides, drive, spring, braking, and resting systems)
Calculation and dimensioning mechanical components
Determining approach and design of cooling systems for electrical and lighting systems
Preparation of design documentation for manufacturing
Performing and overseeing mechanical endurance and environment testing
Constructing of manufacturing tools and test equipment
Product and cost optimization

Skills of interest include good working knowledge of 3D CAD design, advantageous to have experience with Solid Works, Data management using PDM and product design experience. Project Manager for Product Development
Responsibilities:
You will lead an interdisciplinary project team consisting of the design, hardware and software, electronics, optics, lighting and test equipment departments, taking responsibility for the entire development process and during the transition into production.
Creation of rough concepts for new equipment development
Preparation of specifications, schedules and project budgets
Resource planning for product development
Coordination and management of project teams
Coordination and management of external development partners and suppliers
Coordination of internal interfaces, and reporting to senior management, development management, product management, production planning, purchasing, quality control and production
Looking after internal project management software
Organisation of construction and testing of prototypes
Transition into production
Series support
Requirements:
You have many years of professional experience as a project manager, preferably a technical background in physics, electronics or mechanical engineering. You have a good knowledge of project management and a solid grounding in the disciplines of electronics, mechanics and optics.
Personally, you include abstract thinking, creativity, flexibility and the ability to take the initiative as strengths. You enjoy motivating people and working as part of a team. Also important is a systematic and structured approach to work, as well as some negotiating skills in dealing with partners and suppliers.
English language knowledge is required.
