New Visualizer VZ-9plus3 - Third Generation Available Now

VZ-9plus³

WolfVision's highly anticipated successor of the Visualizer model VZ-9plus is now available.

The VZ-9plus3 made its first public appearance at the Infocomm 2009 in Orlando and the feedback from our customers was very enthusiastic.

It was hard to top the VZ-9plus, which has been known as THE high end unit on the market for the last couple of years. However, WolfVision engineers have managed to further improve the usability and ease of use of the Visualizer.

The new housing with a modern design, a backlit keypad and many new outstanding features clearly indicates a major update from the previous units.

Probably the most groundbreaking new feature is the "Synchronized Lasermarkers":

Small dots of laser light, projected from the camera head onto the working surface, mark the edges of the pickup area of the built-in camera. This allows for easy positioning of objects on the working surface. The "Lasermarkers" are synchronized with the camera and change accordingly when zooming in and out. While the "Synchronized Lasermarkers" can clearly be seen on the working surface, they remain invisible in the picture picked up by the camera. The edges of images in 4:3 and 16:10 aspect ratios are marked on the working surface.

The unique combination of the built-in LCD monitor and the new "Synchronized Lasermarkers" makes it easier than ever before to position an object on the working surface.

Other important new features of the VZ-9plus3 include:

  • 3 Native Resolutions in all 3 popular aspect ratios:
    (SXGA- 1280x960 pixel - 4:3, WXGA 1280x800 pixel - 16:10 and 720p HD 1280x720 pixel - 16:9) **
  • Enhanced Zoom Range (16x optical and 4x digital zoom)
  • Additional LAN Features like Streaming in Multicast and Singlecast (Unicast) Mode, Authentication etc. **
  • Integrated Seamless Switch with Fading Effects **
  • USB Host Port for Connecting USB Sticks (Extension of Image Memory etc.) **
  • Advanced Controlling with Professional Protocol via RS232, LAN and USB **
  • New Light System
  • New Mainboard with even more Computing Power and Additional Resources **
(for more features and enhancements to be added later on via Firmware Updates)

New Features for previous units via Firmware Update

mainboard

The new mainboard is a key feature of all 3 new WolfVision Visualizer models released so far in 2009 (VZ-9plus3, VZ-C123 and VZ-C323). WolfVision actually completed this new mainboard in August 2008 and it has, since then, been integrated into newly produced models of the previous Visualizers VZ-9plus, VZ-C122 and VZ-C32.

The good news for customers who bought one of these 3 Visualizer models in the last couple of months, is that after applying the latest Firmware Update all new features marked above with ** are also available on their unit. The Ceiling Visualizers have one more additional feature: "Electronic Keystone Correction".

Serial numbers of the previous units with the new mainboard are:

VZ-9plus: 1008068 and higher
VZ-C122: 1009412 and higher
VZ-C32: 1011797 and higher

The easiest way to update a WolfVision Visualizer is by using the WolfVision Connectivity software.

New Version 1.9 of WolfVision Connectivity Software

The latest version of the WolfVision Connectivity Software is available as a free download from: www.wolfvision.com/consoft. Users who already have a previous version installed can update the software with the self update function of the software. A new version for Apple Macintosh is currently available as a BETA version. The final version will be released soon.
